I began robotics by learning basic soldering and building Mini Sumo robots under the guidance of my seniors and coach. After completing my first Mini Sumo board, I expanded into Mega Sumo and Rugby while learning CAD and improving my designs. Even though I had repeated breakdowns and damaged boards, I continued repairing and upgrading my robots, replacing motors, wheels, PCBs, and other components. I later added Line Follower to my competition categories and won three gold medals in Rugby at national and international competitions, including the Beijing Robot Challenge World.

ENGINEERING HIGHLIGHT
Able to do clean, tidy solders. Usually works on connecting the sensors, motors and drivers to the board.
Robotics Journey
Apprentice
Shortly after joining robotics, I followed my seniors and coach and started doing simple solders and Mini Sumo robots. I successfully completed a mini sumo board. And moved on to learn CAD software.

I continued working on mini sumo and modified my mini sumo robot by changing its motor. However, the motor turned out to be faulty, so I had to replace it again. I also started working on mega sumo and rugby. In the Monrobot competition, I had competed in mini sumo, mega sumo, and rugby. Although I won a gold medal in rugby, both my mega sumo and mini sumo robots broke down, so I had to resolder both of them. Soon after, preparations for the UB Robot Challenge began, and I started working on a low-speed line follower robot. I competed in the same categories, with the addition of line follower, and won another gold medal in rugby. However, my teammate accidentally burned our mega sumo board. Later, during the summer, I replaced the boards of both my sumo robots, as well as the motor and wheels of my mini sumo robot. Finally, I competed in my three main categories at the Beijing Robot Challenge World and won another gold medal in rugby.

During my senior year, I want to focus on developing my robotics skills and taking on more challenging projects. In addition to robotics competitions, I hope to help our new members and develop their skills along mine.
