After joining MOGUL robotics club for 6 months, I have participated in two competitions. The first one is UB challenge-2026 and the second competition is Beijing robot challenge-2026. During this period, I have learned a lot of things including learning how to draw on inventor for 3D printing. After participating in these two competitions my passion for robotics grew stronger.

Robotics Journey

GRADE 10 • ONBOARDING

Apprentice

Not long after joining the club, I made a mini sumo. With the help of my apprentices, I was able to build it with significant amount of difficulties. Due to my late start, I practiced my driving everyday playing against more experienced pupils and improved significantly in a period of 3 weeks. On the competition day, I got really nervous as I have never competed in any robotics tournament before. I played 3 matches and lost all of them, but I think I learned a lot of things from that competition which helped me to understand mini sumo and work on my mistakes for the next competition.

During summer break, I participated in the mini sumo tournament at Beijing world robot challenge-2026, I started preparing one month prior to the competition. I prepared almost everyday going to school back and forth and saw significant increase in my driving skills. As the competition day came closer I started playing more often against experienced players to improve my skills even further. I participated in two types of minisumo one of them was RC and the other one was auto. On the auto, our team was successful. In RC I played against 5 skilled opponents and realized I can compete at international level. However, my skill level was still at amateur
